WPC Co-extruded Fencing

WPC Co Extruded Fencing uses a composite core covered by a co-extruded polymer surface layer. During production, the two materials are formed together rather than applying paint or another finish to the fence board afterward.

This construction is particularly relevant for fencing because the boards remain vertically exposed to sunlight, rain, dust, and changing weather throughout the year. The outer layer takes most of this direct exposure while the WPC core forms the main body of the board.

A decking board mainly receives exposure from above, but a fence has large vertical faces that remain uncovered every day. Sunlight reaches the surface for long periods, while rainwater, soil splashes, fingerprints, and general outdoor dirt can also affect the appearance of the boards.

The co-extruded layer creates a barrier between these conditions and the WPC core. It helps reduce moisture penetration, staining, and continued color fading, which is useful on a fence where a visible difference between neighboring boards can affect the appearance of an entire boundary.

Co-extruded fencing does not have to follow the brown tones commonly associated with timber fences. Grey, charcoal, teak, cedar, and other finishes give the fence different visual effects and make it easier to coordinate with exterior walls, paving, gates, and garden structures.

Darker colors can create a stronger boundary around modern buildings, while warmer wood tones work naturally with planting and traditional garden materials. For larger projects, the fence color can also be developed from a confirmed sample or color reference.
