Capped Wall Cladding

The 170×21mm Capped Wall Cladding combines a WPC core with a protective polymer surface formed together during production. The cap becomes the exposed face of the board, while the wood-plastic composite underneath provides the main body of the profile.

On an exterior wall, the cladding remains exposed to sunlight, rain, humidity and airborne dirt throughout the year. The capped surface helps limit moisture and stains from reaching the WPC core and slows down color change during outdoor exposure. Compared with timber cladding, there is also no regular painting or staining schedule to maintain the finished surface.

Exterior walls gradually collect dust, rain marks, mud splashes and other surface dirt. The problem is usually more noticeable around entrances, ground-floor walls, garden areas and façades close to roads, where the lower part of the wall may need cleaning more often.

The capped surface of the 170×21mm cladding is less absorbent than an uncapped WPC surface, making ordinary dirt easier to deal with before it works further into the material. Water and mild detergent are sufficient for most routine cleaning. There is normally no need to sand the wall or apply another surface finish after cleaning, which becomes more relevant when the cladding covers a large exterior area.

Cladding color is easier to select when it is considered together with the other materials on the building. Cedar and Teak can add a warmer contrast beside light render, concrete or stone, while Grey and Charcoal work well with dark window frames, glass, metal and more contemporary façades.

For distributors, this also means the 170×21mm profile does not have to be sold as one fixed visual style. The same board can form a wood-tone range for customers looking for a more traditional exterior and a grey or darker range for modern residential and commercial projects. Custom colors can also be developed from an agreed reference when a project or local market requires a finish outside the regular range.
